The South I-25 Corridor is the most successful business district in the Denver metropolitan area, outside of downtown Denver. With over 35 million square feet of office space and 130,000 employees, the corridor continues to grow and evolve. Since the completion of a $1.7 billion I-25 expansion project in 2006, known as T-REX, the corridor has added over 4.1 million square feet of office space (a 15% increase) and with the addition of 4,000 housing units to reach 14,000 units overall (a 40% increase), the land use pattern is evolving with 66% of new office development and 80% of new housing development occurring within one-half mile of the corridor’s six light rail stations on RTD’s Southeast Line.
