About Dove Valley Metropolitan District
Dove Valley Metropolitan District is a quasi-municipality organized April 30, 1984 under the State of Colorado Special District Act. The District was established to provide (for the benefit of the citizens of the District), street improvements, traffic and safety control devices, parks and recreational facilities, transportation services, water and sanitation services, and drainage facilities pursuant to intergovernmental agreements with other entities, as appropriate. The District’s primary revenue source is property taxes. The District is governed by an elected Board of Directors.
Description
Dove Valley Metropolitan District is a master development plan zone district in the South Metro Denver Metropolitan region; located just east of I-25 and Centennial Airport, south of Arapahoe Road, west of US-83/Parker Road, and north of E-470. Its major arterials include Broncos Parkway, Potomac Street and Jordan Road. Dove Valley encompasses approximately 2072 acres, is located in the heart of Arapahoe County (population 584,948) and adjacent to Douglas County (population 292,167).
Dove Valley is located just east of I-25 and Centennial Airport, south of Arapahoe Road, west of US-83/Parker Road, and north of E-470. Its major arterials include Broncos Parkway Potomac Street, and Jordan Road.

The Dove Valley Metropolitan District is a Colorado Title 32 Special District created for the purposes of enhancing infrastructure throughout the Dove Valley region. It is and has been responsible for the development of roads, water, sewer, traffic signalization, monument signage, trailway systems, and basic infrastructure for the District through property taxes that service the bonds issued to fund these improvements.
Municipal services are provided to Dove Valley by a variety of sources including Arapahoe County, the City of Centennial, Arapahoe County Sheriff, South Metro Fire Rescue, and the Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater Authority.
